It has been announced that Amitabh Bachchan will receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2019.
The Dadasheb Phalke award is the highest recognition in Indian Cinema with legends such as the late Vinod Khanna previously receiving the award.
The announcement was made on Twitter by Minister Prakash Javadekar.

Amitabh Bachchan made his big screen debut with Saat Hindustani back in 1969 with Saat Hindustani and is still entertaining fans five decades later.
In that time he’s featured in legendary Bollywood films such as Sholay, Baghban and Deewar just to name a few! The award is definitely deserved!
