BritAsia TV is proud to announce they will be supporting Chelsea FC’s Asian Star Initiative. In partnership with the Asian Sports Foundation, the premiership club is looking for youngsters with top footballing prospects.

We are committed to promoting and celebrating the skill and talent of youngsters from within the Asian community to eradicate the under-representation of Asian people in sport. We are excited about broadcasting the initiative to our national audience who we expect will be thrilled at the prospect of trials for Asian youngsters at Chelsea FC.”
The Chelsea FC Asian Star Initiative launched in 2009, and its main aim is to increase the amount of Asian participation at all levels of football.
The Asian Star event itself is taking place on Saturday 3rd June at the iconic Chelsea football ground, Stamford Bridge.
The free, engaging event is open to 9-12 year olds with a passion for football. The participants can expect to compete in a series of matches and tests to examine speed, skill and ability. The winners of each age group will then be invited to join the Chelsea Foundation’s Football Development Centres.
Chelsea will also be inviting managers, coaches, scouts and professional players from clubs at all levels of the game to identify talented youngsters. Along with providing workshops and useful information for the attending parents.
Chelsea star Victor Moses has expressed his support for the event, he said; ‘Football is for everyone, and equality is an important part of not just football but day-to-day life and that is why it is fantastic to see an event like Asian Star continuing to take place.’
