Post Malone and Justin Bieber give us Déjà Vu!

Post Malone and Justin Bieber have premiered their new single entitled “Déjà Vu” – with the music production on the track being criticised as being hugely similar to Drake’s 2015 summer anthem “Hotline Bling”.

Up and coming hip hop artist Post Malone, most known for his 2015 hit “White Iverson”, has had a fair amount of success since debuting with the track in 2015. Since the breakthrough of that track, Post Malone has formed a close friendship with Justin Bieber – which led to Post Malone being the opening act at Justin’s Purpose World Tour. He also signed a recording contract with Republic Records and accumulated over two hundred and seven million views on YouTube for the official music video of “White Iverson”. He was also able to secure himself some major collaborations, collaborating with artists such as Kanye West, Ty Dolla Sign and 50 Cent as a featuring artist.

Since the release of “White Iverson”, Malone has released his debut mixtape entitled “August 26th”, with the title being a reference for the intended release date of his full length debut album “Stoney”. However, the album “Stoney” has been delayed, citing several problems with him and his team delivering the album on time.

After the success of the EDM inspired “Cold Water” and “Let Me Love You” featuring Major Lazer and DJ Snake respectively, “Déjà Vu” flaunts Bieber’s versatility as an artist. “Déjà Vu” is incredibly infectious and has a very laid-back R&B beat, very similar to “Hotline Bling”.

The track also received attention from Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, who tweeted his favourite lyric of the track.
