OK Jannu is a remake of Tamil movie ‘OK Kadhal Kanmani’. The new modern love story is directed by Shaad Ali known for directing such movies as ‘Kill Dil’.
Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor play the roles of Adi and Tara as they move to Mumbai to pursue their dreams and careers. They meet and in true Bollywood fashion fall in love. Their no strings attached agreement sets off a string of events eventually leading to their romance.
The story is situated in the break neck speeds of Mumbai and eventually leads to career complications which in-turn seperates the couple.
The soundtrack and film score is composed by the legendary A R Rahman. Rahman reinstates the original compositions and soundtrack he wrote for ‘OK Kadhal Kanmani’. Rahman has also written three new songs for the movie.
