The Covid-19 pandemic has caused disastrous effects on businesses, especially in London. With hospitality businesses having taken a hit, a large proportion of staff are on furlough and the government job retention scheme has been extended until October.
Seven Events, an events company that BritAsia TV have frequently worked with for both The BritAsia TV Music Awards, and The Punjabi Film Awards, have been extremely impacted by this pandemic.
Managing Director, Angelee Rathor, said: I’m really concerned, because I’ve worked really hard in the last ten years to build what I have, but I think it’s really important that we try and get the market moving, and by making redundancies and cutting my work force, that’s not going to help the market”.
