Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ to Release Vaisakhi 2022

Makers of Aamir Khan’s upcoming comedy-drama, Laal Singh Chaddha, have set a new release date to tie in with the festival of Vaisakhi next year.

Together with the release date (14 April 2022), the filmmakers also unveiled a new poster featuring Khan’s co-star, Kareena Kapoor.

Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of Robert Zemeckis’s Forrest Gump (1994), which starred Tom Hanks in the lead role, adapted from the 1986 novel by Winston Groom.

The film also features Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh in the supporting cast.

This release date means the film will go head-to-head with K.G.F: Chapter 2, another highly-anticipated film starring Yash and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.

The original film followed Hanks’ titular character, who participates and unintentionally but poignantly affects important events in modern American history.

Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan, who had earlier directed Aamir in 2017’s Secret Superstar.

Laal Singh Chaddha is scheduled to release in April, 2022.
