Actress Angelina Jolie has shocked her millions of fans by filing for divorce from husband Brad Pitt.
It is reported that the actress filed papers on Monday citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and is asking for physical custody of the couple’s six children.
The pair started dating in 2004 and married each other ten years later in 2014. Since they started dating, they were dubbed Brangelina by the media – after a highly publicised relationship involving their children and Brad Pitt’s divorce from ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.
Reports suggest that the reason for Angelina’s decision to file for divorce is to do with Brad’s parenting style as she was extremely upset with his methods.
This will be the third divorce for Jolie, who was previously married to Sherlock star Johnny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton. Pitt’s first marriage to actress Jennifer Aniston ended in 2005 as a result of his relationship with Jolie, who he met when the two worked on the 2005 film Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
