AP Dhillon Features on Forbes India 30 Under 30 List 2022

AP Dhillon has been featured in the Forbes India 30 Under 30 list for 2022 for his breakthrough work in music.

The Punjabi Canadian singer-song writer has been recognised by the publication in the music category with an emphasis on his stream of hit songs released through the pandemic and a successful first tour.

Summarising Dhillon’s work, Forbes India wrote: “AP Dhillon has had quite a year despite the pandemic—he released multiple songs; took social media by storm; and had a hugely successful first tour.

“His music is a mix of R&B, hip-hop, pop and rap, and are amongst the most heard songs on streaming platforms. Especially, Brown Munde, Majhail, and Insane.”

The Forbes India 30U30 list relies on experts across 20 fields to curate its winners every year. The jury includes investors, entrepreneurs, activists and artists, musicians, producers and academicians and more.

The Punjabi artist was ranked 22nd on the list, which included entrepreneurs, influencers, creators, artists, and musicians from India who have created a seismic impact in their respective fields.

Dhillon, who is best known for songs such as Majhail, Brown Munde, Excuses and Insane, has seen multiple singles peak in the UK Asian and Punjabi charts – compiled by the Official Charts Company.
