BritAsia Fund to host ‘Pitch It’ event to help SMEs with training and investment together with 10k worth of business resource opportunities.
‘Pitch It’ is designed to provide SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), with support seeking to raise a minimum of £200k, that have been trading for one year or more in a limited company.
Taking place at Park Regis Birmingham, the two-day event will cover expert-led training opportunities and a chance to pitch before an investors panel including: BritAsia Fund’s Tony Shergill, HSBC’s Andy Oates and Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Growth Hub director, Ian McLaughlan.
22nd May will see pitch fest open with a comprehensive Training Day with pitch deck expert, Zulfikar Ali, who will help businesses develop and refine their action plan ahead of Pitch Day on 29th May, where businesses will deliver their 5-minute pitch, followed by a 2-minute Q&A.
Throughout Pitch Day, businesses will be divided into groups and will take part in formative workshops, which will be delivered HSBC and Greater Birmingham & Solihull (LEP), who will provide feedback, networking opportunities and the chance to win from the Fund’s 10k prize pool.
