BritAsia TV & Blue Lion Training Academy Announce a Strategic Partnership of the Decade

BritAsia TV & Blue Lion Training Academy are delighted to confirm a forward-thinking collaboration of the decade. This will be one of a kind, combining the media industry with education.

BritAsia TV is the largest TV Platform for British Asians in the world and they will be collaborating with Blue Lion Training Academy who are a diverse apprenticeship provider, specialising in the media and creative industry.

This strategic collaboration will play a critical role in bringing to light, the importance of getting millennials involved in the media and creative industry. This will influence a growth in respect to creative roles in other careers besides your typical Black, Asian and Minority ethnics (BAME) careers like Doctors, Lawyers, Solicitors.

As both companies are well-recognised in their respective industries, it is only natural to collaborate, especially with their history of massive success in 2010 with BritAsiaSuperStar. With Harj Dhanjal (Blue Lion Training Academy – Director), who was the brains behind the Superstar Singing Talent Show. He returns back to the media industry to say hello again. Not only is he sending a greeting, his company is working with Tony Shergill of BritAsia TV to create amazing opportunities for people that would like to enter into the media and creative industry through apprenticeships. The apprentice can be a current employee or school leaver seeking an apprenticeship irrelevant of their age.

You can be sure that this collaboration will enable both businesses to provide the best. Blue Lion Training Academy is here to involve, improve and inspire learners to unlock their true potential in a way that benefits communities in all regions across England, especially the BAME community. This will create plenty of opportunities and space for creatives to grow in their respective passion.

Tony Shergill, CEO of BritAsia TV, said: “I have been in this industry for over a decade and have found that there is an abundance of skills to learn from media. From content creation to production & filming, having a team with a varied skillset is vital to the success of a brand. With the Covid-19 pandemic creating uncertainty around jobs in an already over-saturated job market, we feel that this partnership with Blue Lion Training Academy is necessary, to provide apprenticeships for those affected. It is great to see that Rishi Sunak has announced the ‘brand new bonus’ of £2000 to businesses hiring young apprentices. BritAsia TV has always been a platform to support new and fresh talent and is recognised by industries from both the private and public sector, as the leading TV channel UK and globally.”

In the coming months, both companies will countdown the launch of 5 apprenticeships in the new academic year.

  1. Level 3 – Junior Content Producer Apprenticeship
  2. Level 3 – Advertising & Media Executive Apprenticeship
  3. Level 3 – Digital Marketer Apprenticeship
  4. Level 3 – Broadcast production assistant
  5. Level 4 – PR & Communications Assistant Apprenticeship
