BritAsia TV Welcomes Sharan Singh as ‘Artist of the Month’

BritAsia TV is pleased to spotlight Sharan Singh as our latest Artist of the Month, recognising his contribution to Indian classical music, tabla performance and the growing fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds.

Sharan is a talented tabla player and vocalist with a strong foundation in Indian classical music. His work spans classical, devotional, ghazal, Punjabi folk and contemporary music, allowing him to connect traditional musicianship with new audiences.

As part of our Artist of the Month feature, BritAsia TV will showcase Sharan’s musical journey, performances and creative work across our digital platforms, giving audiences an opportunity to learn more about the artist and his approach to music.

Our relationship with Sharan will also continue beyond the Artist of the Month feature. BritAsia TV is planning a series of filmed performances, studio sessions and cultural programming with Sharan over the coming months, including folk and Sufi fusion, semi-classical music and collaborative projects with UK-based artists and musicians.

These productions will form part of BritAsia TV’s wider commitment to supporting British Asian artists and creating opportunities for musicians who bring together traditional South Asian music with contemporary British audiences.

Speaking about the collaboration, BritAsia TV CEO Tony Shergill said:

“Sharan is a talented and committed musician with a strong understanding of his craft. We are pleased to support his continued development and to provide a platform for his music through our television and digital channels.”

Further performances and collaborations featuring Sharan will be announced through BritAsia TV in the coming months, starting with an special, exclusive Sufi performance in September 2026.
