Brown Girl’s Guide to Brown Lips: High-End

Kiran gives BritAsia TV viewers an insight into her favourite high-end lipstick! This is the third and final article of a three part series.

Now, if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter (@kiranvaryah), you will be aware that I have been loving a good old brown lip! Before I first ever wore one, I never thought I would like the colour on me, but the more I wear it, the more I am falling in love with it. I personally, feel like it looks so natural on me and it keeps you on trend with the season, not too dark but not too pale; a simple, yet versatile colour for anyone with an a medium – olive skin tone.

High-end: Christian Louboutin

It is no secret that I do love high-end make up, and I have been wanting to try this range of lipsticks and lip pencils for a very long time, so when I walked into this surprise on my desk during my visit home, I was ecstatic!

Christian Louboutin make up is something that I have just fallen in love with, the packaging, the overall look and feel of the make up is just beautiful, it is just so luxurious and a definite treat to wear.

Christian Louboutin lipstick: ‘Farida – 720’ and lip pencil: ‘Safki – D10’

So my favourite lip combination from the silky satin range is the Christian Louboutin lipstick in the colour ‘Farida – 720’, paired with their lip pencil in ‘Safki – D10’.  The lip pencil is slightly darker than the lipstick; however, I prefer to line and fill my lips with the pencil, before dabbing the lipstick on, to create my desired effect.I personally, like to save this combination for special occasions, so I wouldn’t necessarily wear it every day.

The finish of the lipstick is rich and satiny, it is extremely long-lasting, and also keeps your lips hydrated, meaning you don’t have to continuously reach for a lip balm numerous times a day!

Final look.

My favourite part of using this has to be the packaging, I love how it comes in the iconic black and red box, the shape of the lipstick and pencil is just so different to other brands, and I love how luxurious the actual lipstick itself looks!
