After a prolonged period of uncertainty, the official takeover of Morecambe FC has been finalised.
The club is now under new ownership, led by the consortium Punjab Warriors, fronted by Kuljeet Singh Momi, Gurpreet Singh and Momi’s group of private investors.
In a public statement, the consortium confirmed their position as the actual and rightful buyers, putting an end to months of speculation over who was truly behind the bid. With the EFL now granting full approval, the deal marks a new era for the club both on and off the pitch.

Kuljeet Singh Momi and his team have pledged to bring stability, fresh investment, and a renewed focus on community engagement, footballing development, and long-term sustainability.
“This isn’t just a business acquisition — it’s a responsibility. We’re here to honour the club’s history and help shape its future,” a spokesperson for the Punjab Warriors stated.

Fans, players, and the broader football community can now look forward to the next chapter for Morecambe FC — one that promises ambition, transparency, and a deep respect for its roots.
