Janhvi Kapoor reveals if she would like to star in late mom Sridevi’s biopic

Janhvi Kapoor has been out and about town promoting her upcoming thriller ‘Mili’. Ahead of the theatrical release, the actress attended a press conference, where she was quizzed about the possibility of starring in other remakes.

As the Mathukuttyy Xavier film is an official remake of the filmmaker’s 2019 Malayalam film ‘Helen’, Janhvi was asked if she wishes to be a part of a remake of her late mother Sridevi’s films. To this, the actress said that no one should remake her late mother’s films as ‘nobody will be able to pull it off’.

During the candid chat, Janhvi, who previously brought Gunjan Saxena’s story to the big screen, was also asked if she would play her late mother in a biopic.

To this, Janhvi nodded ‘no’. When asked why she wouldn’t want to act in the film, she explained, “Sir woh bhi bahut lamba answer hai aur mujhe bhook lagi hai, aur mujhe rona nahi hai stage pe. Acha din hai toh avoid karte hai (Sir there’s a big answer for this and I am hungry right now, and I don’t want to cry on stage. The day is good so let’s avoid it).”

‘Mili’ which is produced by Janhvi’s father Boney Kapoor will release in theatres on November 4.
