Karan Aujla’s Debut Album ‘B.T.F.U’ Tops International Music Charts

Karan Aujla’s highly-anticipated debut album, B.T.F.U (BacThafu*UP), has entered the international music charts and has become India’s Biggest Digital Artist.

The album, featuring music produced by Tru Skool, released on 15 September across all streaming platforms and immediately ascended the top spot on the Albums Chart worldwide.

After the Bhangra artist’s second video, Click That B Kickin’ It, released on 9 September, Aujla fans waited with bated breath for the full album release the following week.

The 11-track album dominated national and international streams across all major platforms before the weekend: On iTunes, B.T.F.U ranked #1 in India, Canada, Portugal, Qatar, UAE and UK, ranked #3 in Australia and New Zealand, #5 in the Philippines, #8 in Spain, and #11 in Italy. On Apple Music, the album opened at #2 in India and New Zealand, #3 in Australia and #5 in Canada.

Following the international success of BTFU, the Chu Gon Do? singer has now become India’s Biggest Digital Artist. On 16 September, Aujla claimed the 38th position on the Global Digital Artist Ranking, making him the highest-ranked Indian artist on the list. The list features the world’s biggest Digital Artists and is currently crowned by American rapper Kanye West.

“We are re-writing history. The response to BTFU has been overwhelming. It’s no secret that this album is my heart and soul and it’s incredibly rewarding to see fans and music lovers receive it this way. But this is just the beginning, a lot of surprises are yet to come,” said Karan Aujla in a statement.

The album is produced by Tru Skool, written and performed by Karan Aujla and features various artists including Gurlej Akhtar, Harjit Harman and Amaal.
