Kareena Kapoor Khan reveals why she is not on Twitter

Kareena Kapoor Khan is living the picture-perfect life on Instagram, but ask the actress why she is not on the micro-blogging app Twitter and she has a long list of reasons.
The actress has been hitting the top trends on Twitter, thanks to trolls fishing out her past comments and calling to boycott her upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. Reacting to the current trend and cancel culture prevalent on social media platforms, she says “I don’t have time for all this.”

Speaking with News18, Kareena noted how every other day, celebrities are trolled online. “That’s why I’m not on Twitter. I feel like it’s for people who just want to keep venting and I don’t have time for that,” she said while also adding that she is busy with her boys – Tim and Jeh, and that she chooses to spend time with her family and work.

The actress, who plays the female lead in the film, also spoke about her previous comment about ‘Forrest Gump’ being an elitist kind of classist film. She reasoned that people who don’t speak English, would be watching ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ for their love of the story and not because it is a remake of the critically acclaimed Hollywood film. “It’s being dubbed in Tamil and Telugu too so that people can watch and enjoy it in their own language, and there’s nothing wrong in that. Not everyone in the world would have seen Forrest Gump” she said.

The film that releases tomorrow, is an official Hindi adaptation of the Tom Hanks starrer ‘Forrest Gump’. Directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Eric Roth, the film also starred Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson and Sally Field.
