Let’s be honest — when you hear “Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus,” your first thought might be, “Isn’t that just a slightly bigger S25?” But after a few weeks of actually living with it, the Plus starts to stand out in ways the spec sheet doesn’t quite capture.
This is the middle child of Samsung’s flagship family. Not as compact as the S25, not as flashy as the Ultra. But it might be the sweet spot for most people.

This display is stunning. Whether you’re on the Tube watching YouTube or half-asleep scrolling TikTok, the 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED screen looks rich and smooth. At 120Hz, everything from Instagram Reels to banking apps glides like butter.
In bright sunlight? No issue. This panel hits 2,600 nits — I checked emails at 3pm in Shoreditch under direct sun. Zero squinting.
Weight, Feel, Pocketability
At 190g, it’s light enough to carry all day without feeling bulky. The flat screen means easier grip (unlike the Edge), and it slips into jacket or jeans pockets easily. It’s glass and metal, yes, but doesn’t feel fragile.
The matte finish helps with grip and avoids fingerprint drama. Just be careful — some colours smudge more than others.
Battery & Charging in the Real World
Battery life is one of its biggest wins. I consistently got:

⚡ Fast charging? Yes — but only if you have a proper 45W charger. Samsung includes only a cable. Plug it in with the right brick and it hits 50% in 30 minutes.
Wireless charging is here too, though it’s slower. Handy for overnight or desk docks.
Cameras: More Than Just Megapixels

Photos are vibrant, balanced and social-ready. HDR is smart, night mode is decent, and video stabilisation is smooth.
But: if you’re expecting “cinematic Zoom Quality” — this is not the Ultra. Zoom beyond 3× gets soft. Detail at night is better than iPhone 15 Pro in some shots, but worse in others.
Casual users will be happy. Creators might want the Ultra’s 200MP and 5× optical lens.
AI Features: Gimmick or Game-Changer?
Galaxy AI is all over the S25 series. Here’s what actually stood out:
- Now Bar gives context-aware prompts. Ask, “What’s this restaurant?” from a screenshot, and it gets it.
- Circle to Search works almost everywhere — very helpful when buying stuff you saw on IG.
- AI Edit lets you move objects or delete them in photos, à la Photoshop. Success rate: 7/10.
- Live Translate is hit or miss, but decent on WhatsApp voice notes.
It’s not mind-blowing yet, but it’s headed in the right direction. Most users will forget it’s even there unless they explore the menus.
Audio, Calls, and the Boring but Important Stuff
- Dual speakers are loud and clear.
- Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio means stable AirPods/earbuds connections.
- 5G is fast. Calls are sharp. WiFi 7 future-proofs you.
Face unlock + fingerprint combo is fast and reliable. No issues on rainy days or in gloves.
🟢 Verdict: Is the S25 Plus Worth It?
Yes — but with context.
If you’re coming from an S23 or S22, this feels like a genuine upgrade. The screen is sharper, the AI tools are fresh, and the battery life is excellent. It does everything well — no major weak points.
If you’re a creative who lives in Pro Mode or needs zoom beyond 3×? Go Ultra.
Want a one-hand-friendly, compact phone? Go base S25.
But if you want balance — big screen, premium feel, long battery, all the AI perks — without going full Ultra — the S25 Plus is the clear winner.
