PRINCE CHARLES DEDICATES FIRST EVER INSTAGRAM POST TO THE SIKH COMMUNITY ON GURU NANAK DEV JI’S GURPURAB

Prince Charles has shared his first ever Instagram post ahead of his 10th annual visit to India, sending his best wishes to the Sikh community on Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th Birth Anniversary.

The Prince of Wales wrote: “The principles on which Guru Nanak founded the Sikh religion, and which guide your lives to this day, are ones which can inspire us all – hard work, fairness, respect, and selfless service to others.”

The Instagram account, Clarence House, is often updated by the Royal Office, however Charles himself reached out to the almost one million followers for the first time, signing the message off with ‘-HRH The Prince of Wales.’

Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurprab 500 was celebrated yesterday by Sikhs across the world, including the historic opening of Kartarpur corridor, which allowed Indians access to one of Sikhism’s holiest shrines in Pakistan without having to apply for a visa.
