Sabyasachi announces collaboration with H&M

Sabyasachi Mukherjee is an Indian fashion designer from Kolkata. Since 1999, he has sold designer merchandise using the label Sabyasachi. Sabyasachi is one of the Associate Designer Members of Fashion Design Council of India and the youngest board member of the National Museum of Indian Cinema.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee celebrated his 20-year milestone in the industry last year! He has gone from dressing brides to launching his couture jewellery line which then led him to collaborating with Pottery Barn on a home line.

He has just revealed an amazing project – a global collaboration with Swedish retail H&M, in 48 markets on April 16th!

“I am happy to announce the collaboration with H&M as it allows us the opportunity to share the Sabyasachi aesthetic to a wider audience in Indian and worldwide. Having done couture for most of my career, it is very exciting to bring that finesse and craft to ‘ready-to-wear’ and to create whimsical and fluid silhouettes that bring relaxed sophistication to everyday life” said Sabyasachi himself!

This collaboration is historic. It is the first time an Indian designer will be putting his name to a project this size. Having been a well-known designer who is massive in the Indian fashion landscape, this has created opportunity to widen the market of fashion enthusiasts worldwide!
