Samica Releases Single ‘Wreck’

Born in San Francisco, California, Samica started singing to herself as a child. After listening to her Grandmother sing at the temple every week, she started to appreciate Indian classical music along with her American influences.

Samica started to write her own songs on the guitar at the age of 13. Today, she is enjoying the creative growth of her art. Knowing from a young age that she wanted to pursue her passion, Samica moved to LA to put herself, and her music out to the world.

Samica’s brand new single wreck is a perfect blend of story telling and commercial viability. The official Wreck music video is released by South Asian independent record label Treehouse VHT. Treehouse is home to some of the hottest Urban Desi singers, producers, and content creators in the world including Mickey Singh, Simar, PAM, Tedi Pagg, and DJ ICE.

Treehouse CEO Jay Skilly says the label’s core mission has always been to assist artists in growing their careers and bridging the proverbial gaps that exist for South Asians artists and audiences around the world. “Samica is an excellent singer / song writer  whom we have considered family at Treehouse for a few years now. She has a unique ability to convey feelings through words and melody in a way that leaves you always wanting more. We are extremely excited to be able to contribute to her journey.”
