Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are embracing the best days of their parenthood with the arrival of their newborn baby boy. The actress had earlier shared how Anand and she will be dividing parenting duties and will work as a team in bringing up their child.
In an interview with a news portal, the actress shared that it’s very necessary to be a tag team when it comes to parenting. Sonam further added, that more than Anand, it comes from watching the way her parents (Anil Kapoor and Sunita Kapoor) brought them up.
Recollecting her childhood days, Sonam shared with Vogue how her mother used to send her to the set of ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ so that her father could look after her since she was handling her brother ( Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor) and sister ( Rhea Kapoor ) at that time who were very young. The actress stated that despite having ample help, their motto was equal parenting.
On a closing note, Sonam shared that even after they grew up, Anil Kapoor was very involved in all of their lives and after a certain age, he was more invested in their lives than their mum. She added that her parents are partners in every sense of the word, so even she has a solid blueprint on how to bring up her kids with the right values.
On 20 August, Neetu Kapoor announced the birth of Sonam and Anand’s little one. Neetu shared a heartfelt note, which read, “On 20.08.2022, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and open hearts. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It is only the beginning, but we know our lives have forever changed. Sonam and Anand.”
