The makers behind the upcoming Punjabi movie ‘Muklawa’ have released the trailer for the Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa starrer.
‘Muklawa’ is another highly anticipated Punjabi movie to be released this year, and has the popular on-screen duo of Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa reunited once again for it. The pair have previously starred in the ‘Nikka Zaildar’ films together, which were a great success.
Both lead actors took to their social media accounts to announce the release of the trailer:
‘Muklawa’ is a Punjabi traditional where the bride visits her maternal home after the wedding and is given gifts and clothes when she returns to her in-laws the following day. This is also called Phera Pana. However, since the film is a period drama and is set in rural Punjab, the custom extends to a whole year.
The rom com shows Ammy’s character not being able to stay away from his wife (Sonam Bajwa). They decide to meet every day, however, get caught red handed by the elders of the family. They decide not to send her back to Ammy’s family, and he must attempt to woo them which gives the flick a comic attribute.
The flick also stars Gurpreet Ghuggi, BN Sharma, Karamonjit Anmol, Nimal Rishi any many other popular Punjabi movie actors. The Simerjit Singh directorial is set to hit cinemas 24th May!
