This month, our Track of the Month goes to Mickey Singh for his track, Yaar Tera Lit.
Mickey Singh dropping the track was a surprise, that went down a treat with his fans has left fans wanting more music from the American Punjabi singer.
The track has gathered over four million views since it’s release earlier this month. In April, he released the ‘I Am Urban Desi’ Musical that features big tracks from some of the biggest Punjabi artists past and present such as Diljit Dosanjh, Jay Sean, Imran Khan and many more.
For Yaar Tera Lit, Mickey teamed up with upcoming Punjabi singer G Sidhu, to help write the lyrics for the ‘lit’ track. The combination of western sounds and Punjabi lyrics makes this song relatable to millennials and is one for the younger generation to enjoy.
The singer has hinted at releasing even more music this year, and shared a tweet that suggests that Mickey might be looking to beat Miss Pooja’s world record of releasing 1500 songs in a calendar year.
Just heard Miss Pooja has the world record with 1500 songs in a calendar year …. mind blown 🤯. Now I have to put out at least 15 songs this year !
