Tragedy in Edgbaston: Shooting Claims a Life in Birmingham

Officers reported to Rotton Park Road in Edgbaston around 11 pm on Friday. Mohammed Faisal, a local resident, described hearing two gunshots at first and then heard another one from his home, stating, “Five minutes later I saw the blue lights turn up and I knew something bad had happened.”

West Midlands Police have launched a murder investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward. A 25-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, but since has been released. Detectives stress that inquiries remain ongoing.
