Among the 18 individuals reported missing are two Britons, alongside other tourists from Germany, France, and Italy. The boat was on a five-day diving excursion in one of the world’s most famous reef regions when the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.
The Egyptian coastguard and local authorities have launched an extensive search and rescue operation, successfully recovering some survivors while others remain unaccounted for.
