After the fire incident, Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor to resume shooting for Luv Ranjan’s film in Film City

The sets of Luv Ranjan’s next featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles recently caught fire and all shoots were halted. With one song left to be canned, it seemed like the film’s schedule was getting very delayed because of Ranbir’s commitments to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’. ETimes has learnt that Ranbir will be back on the sets post independence day.

A source close to the production informs, “Ranbir has taken a short break with Alia Bhatt. But he will resume shooting for the song on August 17. After the fire incident at Chitrakoot studios, the location will be shifted to Film City studios to can the half done introduction song of Shraddha Kapoor.”

The special introduction song is being choreographed by Bosco Martis and it has been taking quite a while to come together. The first schedule of the song had to be stopped after Shraddha Kapoor fell ill. It was to resume at Chitrakoot studios with Ranbir Kapoor also joining in, but the entire set and was gutted in fire.

A source from the sets had informed ETimes that Ranbir and Shraddha were not shooting on the day of the incident. “Luv Ranjan was to complete one of the biggest songs of the film on this set. 400 dancers were supposed to be a part of the song.” The incident took place when the final lighting was being installed on the sets.
