Actress Alia Bhatt, who recently returned from London after completing the shoot of her Hollywood debut ‘Heart of Stone’, was seen launching the trailer of ‘Darlings’ on Monday along with co-stars Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma. During the trailer launch event, the mommy-to-be was asked to reveal the name of her ‘darling’.
To this, Alia didn’t take her husband Ranbir Kapoor’s name which left everyone surprised. Neha Dhupia, who hosted the launch event, asked Alia to reveal her ‘darling’. Alia said, “Who is my darling? Okay, so the media is my darling. All the paps (paparazzi) are number one and then everybody else.”
Alia also reacted to Ranveer Singh’s bold pictures from a photoshoot that went viral on the internet recently. She came out in his support and said that she doesn’t like anything negative said about Ranveer. She said, “I don’t like anything negative said about my favourite Ranveer Singh. I cannot even tolerate this question. I love him. He will be eternally favourite to everyone of us actually and he has given us so much at the movies, so we should only give him love.”
Meanwhile, ‘Darlings’ also marks Alia’s debut as a producer. It is a story of a quirky mother-daughter duo navigating through crazy circumstances as they try to find their place in the world. The film is slated to release on an OTT platform on August 5.
