Amir Khan teases return to I’m A Celebrity All-Stars series

Amir Khan is reportedly set to return to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here for the upcoming all-star series.

The boxer, 35, who recently retired from the ring, has teased he is heading back to the jungle for the special all-stars spin-off show which is yet to be officially confirmed by ITV.

Teasing that he would be returning to the show, Amir hinted that he was asked to go on a ‘very, very big show’ which he has appeared on before.

He added that he has finally got the time to do it as he is not in training for a fight, and had only appeared on it last time as he was out of the ring with a hand injury at the time.

Amir told The Sun: ‘I enjoyed it. It’s one of the best things I ever did. Going in the jungle, being away from everyone, being focused, focusing on you and what you want to do in life.

‘I didn’t have other voices telling me what to do. I was thinking for myself. I loved it, honestly.

‘The team I had around me was amazing, everyone was great and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had – apart from seeing spiders and snakes and s**t.’

Amir had previously appeared on I’m A Celebrity in 2018 and fast became one of the most remembered contestants for his fear of bugs and for secretly scoffing strawberries behind his fellow campmates’ backs.

The all-star series is reported to be taking place in South Africa next year as a spin-off alongside the main show, which will make its return to Australia after two years.

The past two series have taken place in a castle inn Wales rather than the jungle due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the difficulties with international travel during this time.
