Birmingham-Born Harpreet Kaur Named Apprentice 2022 Winner

Harpreet Kaur has been named Lord Sugar’s business partner as she becomes this year’s winner of Apprentice UK.

The Birmingham-born businesswoman, who moved to West Yorkshire at the age of 11, was awarded Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment after a tense final which aired on 24 March.

The 30-year-old had gone up against Kathryn Burn in the final boardroom showdown to fulfil a lifelong dream of expanding her dessert business, ‘Oh So Yum!’. The dessert parlour is available in store and online and offers a range of baked goods and confectionary.

Speaking about her win, Harpreet said it was a “dream come true”.

She added: “I cannot believe Lord Sugar has chosen me to be his business partner!

“I have dreamed of this moment, and it just completely proves that if you work hard and you believe in yourself, dreams do come true.”

Taking to Twitter to celebrate her win and promote her baked goods further, the entrepreneur posted a self-recorded video expressing her gratitude for the support from viewers and the delight at her website crashing for 15 minutes due to high demand.

Alongside the video, she tweeted: “Wow! What a night. Thank you all for showing an amazing response. Due to high amount of traffic to ohsoyum.co.uk, the site crashed by don’t worry, it’s back up and running so head on over and make your orders.”

The official account for The Apprentice posted a congratulatory post to honour Harpreet’s win and announced the owner of Oh So Yum! as Lord Sugar’s newest business partner.

Taking to Instagram, Harpreet posted a picture alongside the business magnate and wrote: “@Lord_Sugar latest business partner….ME!🎉
