Deepika Padukone has been very vocal about her battle with depression and struggles. Salman Khan had once commented on depression and it apparently did not go down well with the actress.
Salman had said he sees a lot of people getting depressed and emotional, but he can’t afford that luxury of being depressed or sad or emotional no matter what he is going through. According to the actor, it works against him.
Slamming the ‘Dabangg’ star for such comments, Deepika had stated that people often confuse it with being a bit sad. Hinting at Salman’s comments, she added, “A male star said recently that he didn’t have the luxury to be depressed. As if depression is a choice.”
Time and again, Deepika has also spoken about her battle with depression and how the journey has been for her fighting it, overcoming it, and all the other barriers she faced.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’ with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham and ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan. Apart from these, she also has Nag Ashwin’s untitled next with Prabhas in her kitty. She will also be seen reuniting with Amitabh Bachchan in ‘The Intern’ after ‘Piku’.
Reports are also rife that Deepika will be seen playing a cameo in Atlee’s next with Shah Rukh Khan. The actress has reportedly started shooting for the same.
