Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar – Ek Prem Katha, which was released 22 years ago in 2001, has been re-released on June 9.
The original film cast including Sunny, Ameesha, Mushtaq Khan, Pratima Kannan, veteran singer Udit Narayan, Ali Khan and director Anil Sharma along with Karan Deol, Rajpal Yadav, Gaurav Chopra and others were also seen at the film’s screening in Mumbai.
Through the latest technology the iconic film was re-edited making it a 4K viewing experience for fans ahead of the sequel releasing later this year.
The makers are now awaiting the release of the film’s sequel Gadar 2. The movie will see Sunny and Ameesha reprising their roles of Tara Singh and Sakina. Actor Utkarsh Sharma, who played the role of Sunny and Ameesha’s on-screen son, will also be seen in the sequel. The movie is scheduled to release on August 11.
