Job title: Production Editor/Camera Operator

Location: BritAsia, Broad Street, Birmingham

The role includes:

  • Working as an integral member of the production department of BritAsia TV as an offline and online editor
  • Assembling of raw camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects
  • Editing footage according to the brief set out by producers
  • Responsible for delivering the final production to the required specifications ready for broadcast
  • Working towards tight deadlines
  • Camera work may also be involved

You will be required to have the following:

  • A keen eye for detail and a critical mind
  • Creativity
  • The ability to listen to others and to work well as part of a team
  • A high level of self-motivation, commitment and dedication
  • Organisation skills and self/time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • A passionate interest in film/video editing
  • Highly technically skilled in order to construct the product
  • Experience in appropriate editing software packages, such as Final Cut Pro

BritAsia Academy Bootcamps

At BritAsia TV we like to offer people a chance to upskill themselves and close the current skills gap. We currently offer four fully-funded Digital Upskills Bootcamps that run for 12 weeks and are open to West Midlands residents over the age of 19.
