It’s film-maker Zoya Akhtar’s 50th birthday today! The director who’s known for massive films such as ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Dil Dhadake Do’ is celebrating her golden birthday year in Goa, posting its highway on Instagram.
Akhtar’s industry friends shower her with birthday wishes and sweet messages, including from Karan Johar, calling her his ‘favourite film-maker’ and ‘most favourite fashion critic’. Karan sweetly expressed how his childhood would have been ‘incomplete’ without her.
Katrina Kaif also took to her Instagram story, proclaiming Zoya as her ‘dearest one’. Her husband Vicky Kaushal also sent love and wishes. Interestingly, Katrina had revealed on ‘Koffee With Karan 7’ that she had met Vicky first at Zoya Akhtar’s party and Zoya was the first person she confessed to, that she’s falling in love with Vicky. No wonder, the film-maker is quite special for the couple.
Meanwhile, Zoya’s cousin Farah also wished her happy birthday with a throwback picture from her wedding.
Akhtar is working on ‘The Archies’ next which she is directing and producing. It is expected to release on Netflix next year and will launch new-comers Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Yuvraj Menda, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja and Dot.
