Malkit Singh to perform at the prestigious Royal Festival Hall

Asian Arts Agency is proud to present Malkit Singh, the world’s bestselling bhangra solo artist, to the prestigious Royal Festival Hall stage as part of the South Asian Sounds series.

Singh’s incredible career has spanned more than 30 years and seen him bring Punjabi culture to audiences all across the world; this is the first time any bhangra star has had the honour of playing at the Royal Festival Hall.  He will be performing with a full band. 

Since his first release, Nach Gidhe Vich in 1986, he has toured to over 36 countries and released 21 albums, receiving endless awards and accolades along the way.

His trademark anthem, ‘Tutak Tutak Toothiyan’, is still the fastest selling and most successful bhangra song of all time, and his hit songs ‘Jind Mahi’ and ‘Chal Hun’ featured in the 2002 film Bend It Like Beckham. In 2022 Singh’s explosive hit song ‘Kali Ainak’ took the charts by storm and has received over 23 million views on YouTube to date. 

This event is part of the Southbank Centre’s South Asian Sounds series and is taking place on Friday 8th March 2024.
