Mallika Sherawat on being called a sex symbol: I don’t even know who writes all this

Actress Mallika Sherawat is strong, unapologetic and is known to wear her heart on sleeves. However, the actress is also subjected to trolls and social media negativity with people calling her names. The actress thinks people are entitled to think whatever they want as she stays away from social media for her good.

Mallika who made her debut in Murder established herself as a glamorous actor. She is often referred to as one of India’s ‘sex symbols’. When asked if she has a problem with this image, the actress shared with Hindustan Times that it’s problematic for a woman to be reduced to just that.

She further added that she has no idea who writes all this and wondered if people actually take Wikipedia seriously. “I don’t even know how, I don’t pay attention to it. However people want to perceive me, it’s their attitude. I just have to focus on what I am doing,” she reacted.

The actress also admitted that she is ‘happy staying away from the rat race of Bollywood’. She shared that she is so out of touch with PR and that she can only speak for herself. On a closing note, she shared that she’s a very honest person, and revealed getting into a lot of trouble because of that. She is not intimated by what other actors are doing, or what their PRs are doing.

Meanwhile on the work front, the actress was last seen in ‘RK/RKay’, alongside Rajat Kapoor, Kubbra Sait, Ranvir Shorey, Manu Rishi Chadha, Chandrachoor Rai, Abhijeet Deshpande, Abhishek Sharrma, Grace Girdhar, and Vaishali Malhara.
