May 29, 2022, the date that cannot be erased from the memory of all the admirers of late legendary singer Sidhu Moose Wala as he was shot dead in his village Mansa. The key accused, Sachin Bishnoi, nephew of Lawrence Bishnoi who claimed the culpability of execution of his murder has been finally been extradited to India from Azerbaijan.
Sachin Bishnoi ran away from India just before the murder of Sidhu in May last year after arranging everything and right after the incident, he took the responsibility and claimed through a Facebook post that he executed the murder of Moose Wala in revenge and now the accused has been finally brought brought back to India from Azerbaijan.
Indian authorities tried to trace the accused there in August 2022 and talked to the authorities to bring him back to India following all the legal affairs and Sachin Bishnoi was detained by the Azerbaijan authorities. They wanted to bring him as soon as possible and as a result the Union Home Ministry agreed to send a special cell team to Azerbaijan for the extradition of Sachin Bishnoi and brought him back.
The case is still open and many hearings have been held in the court till date in which all the accused were presented before the court. The next hearing in session court has been scheduled on 9 August 2023 in which all the accused have been ordered to present physically in court so as to take further decisions and actions.
