Acclaimed Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and singer Sunanda Sharma star in B Praak’s latest Punjabi song, Baarish ki Jaaye.
With vocals as poignant as the lyrics, Baarish ki Jaaye is performed by B Praak and is penned by Jaani. The music video stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Sacred Games, Bajrangi Bhaijaan) and Sunanda Sharma.
Based on a true story, the song is a soulful melody of two hearts imbued only with raw emotions and one that assigns love a new meaning. Baarish ki Jaaye shows us the only way love can last a lifetime, is if it’s unconditional. And Siddiqui and Sharma spare no emotion as they invite us into their indestructible lesson of true love.

In an article published by Tribune India which announced the actor’s debut into the Punjabi music industry, it was revealed Siddiqui always held the Punjabi music industry in “high regard,” adding he finds it “fantastic to be making his debut with an industry that is diverse, authentic and rich.”
“It’s been my secret yearning since a few years now to feature in a non-film music video but I never chanced upon a project that I found synergies with. I resonated well with the character and narrative that was presented to me by the Baarish Ki Jaaye team,” Siddiqui added. He also told the publication that the growth of the Punjabi music industry over the years has been exponential.
“It would be unfair to refer to it as regional anymore. There was a time when singers used to feature occasionally in a Bollywood track, but I feel now the roles have reversed and actors are now experimenting by being cast in one-off music videos because they understand the potentiality of it. Indeed, it’s a progressive time for the music industry,” he said.
