Priyanka Chopra Jonas has joined the Board of Directors at Beyond Type 1 to expand services and offer expertise in the global diabetes community.
Beyond Type 1, a global diabetes nonprofit organisation serving the Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes communities, has announced Priyanka Chopra Jonas will join the organisation’s Board of Directors.
Chopra Jonas will initiate new efforts to serve the diabetes community globally and will inject her energy and expertise to the organisation’s plans to expand access in India, and other under-resourced countries around the world.
“Chopra Jonas brings a unique perspective to the board with extensive experience in global humanitarian and philanthropic work, including as a global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. She is also a Global Citizen ambassador, and is involved in a number of efforts to protect children’s rights and to promote the education of girls around the world”, the organisation said in a press statement.
Taking to Twitter, Chopra Jonas made the announcement by sharing an official statement tweeted by Beyond Type 1. She said: “I’m so honoured to join the Board of Directors at @BeyondType1 and serve alongside the current directors to initiate new efforts to expand serving the diabetes community globally.
