Salman Khan Treated in Hospital for Non-Venomous Snake Bite Ahead of Birthday

Bollywood megastar Salman Khan was taken to a Mumbai hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning, after he was bitten by a snake.

Salman Khan was bitten by a non-venomous snake at his farmhouse near Panvel around 3am on Sunday.

The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor was at his farmhouse with family to celebrate his 56th birthday today (27 December).

Khan was taken to MGM hospital at Kamothe for treatment and he was discharged after a few hours. The snake had reportedly bitten Khan’s hand but sources confirm he has recovered after an anti-venom medicine was administered to him.

News broke earlier in the day that Khan was bitten by a snake and was rushed to the hospital thereafter. “Salman was bitten last night and taken to a hospital. He was discharged after six hours. He is back home and well,” sources close to the actor told PTI.

His father, Salim Khan assured fans that Salman has recovered. “Salman is doing fine. There is nothing to worry about. It happened early morning but he is fine now.

He added, “It was a non-poisonous snake and it is obvious to find these creatures in forest areas. The doctor has prescribed a few medicines but otherwise he is completely fine,” Salim told News18.

The superstar who celebrates his 56th Birthday today, took to social media a day early to treat his fans to a super sale on his clothing line, Being Human — as part of ‘Salman Khan’s Birthday Bash’.

On the film front, Khan was last seen his his cop drama alongside brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, in Antim: The Final Truth, which is available now on ZEE5.
