BritAsia TV partnered up with Chelsea FC to find the very best of British Asian talent and skill. BritAsia TV went down to Stamford Bridge, home of the Chelsea football team to find the next big football star.

The free, engaging event that was designed to increase Asian participation, was open to 9-12 year olds with a passion for football. The participants competed in a series of matches and tests which are specifically designed and used by the Chelsea Academy to examine their speed, skill and ability which were led by Chelsea Foundation coaches.

CEO of BritAsia TV, Tony Shergill, said: “It was brilliant to see a great turnout and was a fantastic opportunity for the youngsters to showcase their skills and talent. BritAsia TV are committed to promoting and celebrating the talent of youngsters from within the Asian community, and offer them a platform to celebrate their success. We are excited to broadcast the imitative to our audience who will be proud to see these rising stars who have a prospect of maybe one day playing for Chelsea FC.”

The Chelsea FC Asian Initiative launched in 2009, and its main aim is to increase the amount of Asian participation at all levels of football.
