Shehnaaz Gill is one of the most loved Punjabi stars on social media. She has a fan army that stands by her in through every thick and thin. Recently, one of Shhenaaz Gill’s tweets didn’t go down well with a few social media users.

The tweet in question was actually her reaction to Abhishek Bachchan’s post on World Beard Day. She wrote – “What’s all this hype around a beard it’s got its own day now! Shaving se kya problem hai?” And this tweet landed the ‘Honsla Rakh’ actress in trouble with several netizens. Trolls started bashing Shehnaaz Gill for her opinion on beards.

“Beard is a symbol of respect in Punjab. Punjab is the region from where you belong. This type of tuchiyapa was well excepted from your type of Arrogant girl. If you don’t have any problem with shaving then ask your grandfather to shave !!” commented one Twitter user. Calling the actress a ‘fake Punjaban’, another troll wrote, “Then start from your home. Ask @ShehbazBadesha & your Grandfather to shave their beard 🥴 Mumbai ja ke awde aap nu bahut waddi heroine samjhan lag gyi, hai nahi eddi tu chawwale… Nakli Punjaban.”

A lot of hate was directed towards Shehnaaz Gill, and several internet users questioned why the actress didn’t understand the importance of a beard despite hailing from Punjabi, where it is considered an important part of their culture.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shehnaaz Gill has two Bollywood projects in her kitty – ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ and ‘100%’.
