Actress Love Gill, who made her debut as a model for Karan Aujla’s music video, Fact, had made a gradual journey towards her goals. After music videos, she graduated to acting and played a role in a Punjabi TV show Tu Patang Main Dor, eventually moving on to the bigger screen with Karamjit Anmol’s film, Kurian Jawan Bapu Pareshan. Hailimg from Amritsar, Love, 26, says, “I had this unshakable dream to become an actor since her childhood and have pursued the same with all my enthusiasm.” Commenting on her foray into the industry she says, “I got into Punjabi industry out of my sheer passion and desire to achieve a remarkable milestone as an actor. Of course, I had undergone screen testing, auditions and all the associated rounds, which was definitely a tough but a worth challenge all the same.”
Hailing from Taran Taran Sahib in Amritsar(Punjab), the 26 years old actress has made a special recognition in the Punjabi entertainment industry. She made her debut with after that she worked on numerous Punjabi videos. Love was also seen in a lead role in a Punjabi TV show named as “. Her first Punjabi movie was with in which she acted as the character of “Sandy Sharma”.
With the Punjabi industry booming and giving an opportunity to newcomers, is the competition now proving difficult for young actors trying to make their mark here? “With more opportunities for aspirants and social media witnessing a massive boom, it is getting tougher for newcomers to find a foothold. Now, aspirants are not getting differentiated between content creators and artists. If you have a core perseverance and definitely some handholding, you can get a chance here,” she answers.
Having done music videos, TV and films, Love says her final goal is about Punjab. “My final goal is to promote Punjab and its culture at a global level. I also want to showcase my talent in South industry which is my ultimate dream and reason behind pursuing acting as my career.”
