WME Talent Agency Signs Bollywood’s Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt has signed with international talent management, William Morris Agency (WME), as she embarks on a career in Hollywood.

Bhatt has signed a talent management deal with WME, according to Deadline.

Formed in 1898, William Morris Agency is the longest-running talent agency that manages sports, events, media and fashion. It also managed actor Freida Pinto and in 2019, it was named Agency of the Year at the Billboard Live Music Awards.

In motion pictures, the agency have worked with award-winning actors, directors, writers, producers, financiers and distributors who cross every genre and platform.

The daughter of Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan, has won four FilmFare Awards in a career that began as a child actor. Most recently she took her third Best Actress prize for Gully Boy, for playing the girlfriend to an up-and-coming rapper (played by Ranveer Singh).

Bhatt is currently shooting for her next film titled Darlings, marking her first production venture under her banner Eternal Sunshine Productions. The film, also starring Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew, is said to be a story of a mother-daughter duo. It is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

She will next be seen in Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which will release in theatres later this year.
